What Does Baptism Mean to a Child?

A few weeks ago, our nephew Marc was baptized. Marc is a very...mischievous... little boy. We are told that he is a lot like me when I was a little boy, but I think I was probably much worse. After the baptism, Katie turned to me and Arlene and asked "Now that Marc is baptized and he has to choose the right, does that mean he won't be goofy and act like that anymore?"

I really think Katie thought that since Marc had been baptized, a magical change would come over him to prevent him from being "like that".

If any of the family does read this, hopefully it is taken as it is given, in fun and the innocence of a child. Just remember that I was much worse than Marc growing up, and I turned out alright (OK, so that is up for debate, but at least I'm not in prison or anything) so there is hope for Marc.
